Cancellation

• for a cancellation of more than 30 days before arrival a fee is charged of kr. 250
• for a cancellation of 30-14 days before arrival 50% of the holiday price is to be paid
• for a cancellation of less than 14 days before arrival the whole holiday price must be paid

Cancellation insurance

In connection with booking a holiday it is possible to purchase cancellation insurance. The price is kr. 250.

The following applies to the cancellation insurance:

1. The insurance covers the part of the lease’s price excluding insurance premiums, which Husodde Strand Camping does not refund on cancellation of the lease, in the case where the insured’s stay in the rented holiday accommodation is made impossible or to a significant degree is made more difficult:
   1. as a result of the insured or their: spouse, cohabitant, children, parents, parents-in- law, children-in-law, grandchildren, siblings, grandparents, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law or travel companions by death, or being struck down by illness or serious injury, which requires a hospital admission, bed rest prescribed by a doctor or that which can be equated to this.
      Acute illness.
      An acute illness means a newly diagnosed illness which is covered by the insurance, a substantiated suspicion about a newly diagnosed serious illness, or an unexpected deterioration in an existing or chronic illness.
   2. because immediately before the holiday a significant injury has occurred due to fire or a burglary in the insured’s private residence or fire, burglary or an unofficial strike in the insured’s own company.
2. Special conditions:
   It is a condition of the insurance cover that Husodde Strand Camping receives evidence of the insured event, i.e. doctor’s note, death certificate or police report.
3. The insurance period:
   The insurance covers you from the date the insurance is taken out until occupation of the holiday accommodation.

How does one cancel a booking?

It is a condition for obtaining a refund that the cancellation is reported to Husodde Strand Camping by 12:00 on the day of arrival. In any event the tenant must immediately notify Husodde Strand Camping as well as return the rental certificate and submit a doctor’s note with a diagnosis.

Fees for issuing a doctor’s note must be paid by you.
In the case of injury confirmation is required from the hospital or from the doctor who is treating you. In the case of death a copy of the first page of the death certificate must be submitted. In the case of burglary and fire a copy of the police report must be submitted.

When is the cancellation accepted from?

The cancellation is considered as accepted on the day/at the time Husodde Strand Camping has received written notification about it.
